Dr. Chris Ayers

Dr. Chris Ayers grew up in Winnipeg and Edmonton. His first degree was B Eng at the Royal Military College. He graduated in Medicine in Winnipeg, sponsored by the Canadian Forces. He retired from the armed forces after two decades in 2001 and moved to Calgary with his wife, Dr Sarah Furtado, who is a Neurologist with a specialization in Movement Disorders at Foothills Hospital.

Dr. Ayers specializes in family medicine and is interested in urban social issues in the city of Calgary.

 

Dr. Raj Dhaliwal

Dr. Raj Dhaliwal was born and raised in Calgary. He completed his medical school, as well as residency at the University of Calgary in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Since then he has had the opportunity to do locum work thoughout multiple clinics in Alberta, including some experience working in the Airdrie Urgent Care Centre. He officially took over a practice at SVFC in 2019. He also currently has an interest in Seniors Care and Medical Education.

 

Dr. Heidi Fell

Dr. Heidi Fell graduated from the University of Calgary with her MD in 1995. She completed her family medicine residency in Calgary in 1997 and has been in family practice ever since. Dr Fell has a special interest in the application of information technology in physicians' offices and is a consultant for the Physician Office Systems Program.

 

Dr. Amy Nakashima

Dr. Amy Nakashima is originally from Southern Alberta. Her schooling has been through the University of Calgary, completing a PhD in behavioural neuroscience (psychology) in 2011, an MD in 2014, and her family medicine residency in 2016. She has been in active practice since then.

Dr. Imran Sumar

Dr. Imran Sumar was born and raised in Alberta. His first degree was a BSc completed at the University of Calgary. He went abroad and obtained an MSc MD from Saba University. He then returned to Calgary, completed his family medicine residency in 2017 and has been in active practice since.

 

Dr. Gilbert Yuen

Dr. Gilbert Yuen completed both his MD and family medicine residency at the University of Calgary in 2012 and 2014 respectively. He has an interest in geriatrics and works part time in long term care at the Bethany Care Center.

 

Dr. Joyce Lui

Dr. Joyce Lui was born and raised in Calgary. After completing her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Calgary, she completed her residency training at the University of Toronto. She has since been working as a locum at various clinics while maintaining practice in her special interests of palliative care, long term care, and mental health.
